Mr. Giuntini has served as the Chief Assistant in the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office since 2004. Previously, he served as a Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County, where he headed the narcotics unit and was cross-designated as a US Attorney.

“I am incredibly proud to name David Pfeifer as the new Chief Assistant of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office,” said District Attorney Harris. “David has brought a wide-range of prosecutorial and management experience, as well as sound judgment to bear in prosecuting crime in the City and County of San Francisco. We are fortunate to have a prosecutor of his caliber in this vital role.”

In addition to Mr. Pfeifer’s appointment, District Attorney Harris also named June Cravett, Chief of the Special Operations Division; Sharon Woo, Chief of the Criminal Division; Braden Woods, Managing Attorney of the Homicide Unit; Jeff Ross, Managing Attorney of the General Litigation Unit; Victoria Baldocchi, Managing Attorney of the Misdemeanor Unit; Ana Gonzalez, Managing Attorney of Special Prosecutions; Rema Breall, Managing Attorney of the Narcotics Unit; Marshall Khine, Managing Attorney of the Sex Assault Unit, Diane Knoles, Managing Attorney of the Welfare and Insurance Fraud Unit; and Linda Moore, Managing Attorney of the Elder Abuse and Real Estate Fraud Unit.

District Attorney Harris also announced the retirements of veteran prosecutors Walter Aldridge, Dennis Morris, Angela Brown, Adrian Ivancevich, Melody Schallon, Susan Eto, Richard Hechler, George Butterworth, Alan Kennedy and Robert Ring.

“The people of the City and County of San Francisco have benefitted from the wisdom, service and dedication of these talented prosecutors,” said District Attorney Harris. “Our City will continue to be served well by the dedicated public servants who prosecute crime and protect the public.”
