Advisory Boards

“We are safer when community members and law enforcement work together to identify public safety issues and solutions.”

-District Attorney George Gascón

Developing a lasting public safety model requires partnering with our many diverse communities to better understand, prevent, and address issues facing specific groups in our city.

The office now has 8 advisory boards to do exactly this. Each group identifies key and relevant policy issues affecting the communities they represent for further investigation and action. Each group meets several times over the course of the year and consists of stakeholders, including merchants, businesses, community-based organizations, neighborhood representatives, and residents.
