Man Arraigned in Bernal Heights Murder Case

MAN ARRAIGNED IN BERNAL HEIGHTS MURDER CASE

San Francisco District Attorney George Gascón announced today that Sobera Keo (DOB 7/12/86, CN 11013087) was arraigned for the murder of Pacific Jerry Som.

“Gun violence has no place in San Francisco,” said District Attorney George Gascón. “The District Attorney’s Office will continue to fight this reprehensible conduct that has such deadly consequences.”

On Friday, May 20, 2011, defendant Keo appeared for arraignment before the Honorable Samuel Feng in Department 11 of San Francisco Superior Court on charges of murder in violation of California Penal Code Section 187 and felon in possession of a gun in violation of California Penal Code Section 12021(a). Defendant Keo pled not guilty to all charges and allegations.

According to court documents, on May 14, 2011, defendant Keo, allegedly shot the victim following a fight and a prior shooting that left one person dead and another wounded.

Bail is set in the amount of $3 million. The case was continued to Tuesday, June 14, 2011 to set the preliminary hearing in Department 11.
