If you are the victim of an auto burglary in San Francisco (also known as “theft from vehicle” or “car break-in”), please visit the nearest police station to file a report or complete an online report of the incident with the San Francisco Police Department here.
There were more than 30,000 reported incidents of auto burglary in San Francisco in 2017, resulting in just 481 arrests, and 391 prosecutions. The SFDA Auto Burglary Tip Line is a tool to engage the community in a collaborative effort to gather information to more effectively investigate and prosecute auto burglary in San Francisco.
