SAN FRANCISCO, CA – District Attorney George Gascón announced today that Wilfredo Ruano Reyes, age 31, a.k.a. “Flaco” will be arraigned for his role in the June 22, 2008 murders of Anthony, Michael and Matthew Bologna.

“For the Bologna family and for San Francisco, it is important that everyone involved in the tragic murders be brought to justice.” said District Attorney George Gascón. “This individual will have to answer for the vicious crimes committed against the Bologna family in a San Francisco courthouse.”

Reyes was arrested on July 9 in Salisbury, North Carolina. Reyes had an outstanding $5 million dollar arrest warrant for his role in the 2008 triple murders. Federal agents from I.C.E., the San Francisco Police Department, and the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office worked in collaboration to apprehend Reyes. As law enforcement officials entered his residence, Reyes attempted to flee from a window but was apprehended.

“The family is very pleased that Reyes is back and will face justice for the murders,” said Danielle Bologna, wife of Anthony and mother of Michael and Matthew.

Reyes will be charged with three counts of first degree murder, one count of attempted murder, one count of aiding and abetting in the discharge of a fireman at an occupied vehicle, one count of participating in a street gang, and various other special circumstance allegations. One count of conspiracy to commit murder will be added at a later date. Assistant District Attorney Harry Dorfman will handle the arraignment scheduled for July 24, 9am in Dept 11.
