ARMED OAKLAND MEN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING

San Francisco, CA –Today, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced that German Alfred Colindres-Estrada (24) of Oakland, and Jose Colindres-Erazo (22) of Oakland, have been charged with multiple felonies in connection with the alleged possession and sale of controlled substances.

Mr. Colindres-Estrada was arraigned on October 11, 2024, and pleaded not guilty to all charges and denied all allegations. Mr. Colindres-Erazo is scheduled to be arraigned on October 16, 2024, at 9:00 AM in Department 10 at the Hall of Justice.

They are both charged with three counts of possession for sale of controlled substances (H&S 11351), one count of possession for sale of cocaine base (H&S1151.5) one count of possession for sale of methamphetamine (H&S 11378), four counts of transportation, sale and giving away of controlled substances (H&S 11352(a)), one count of transportation, sale and giving away a controlled substance (H&S 11379(a)), and three counts of possession of a controlled substance with a firearm (H&S 11370.1(a)). The criminal complaint also alleges that they were each armed with a semi-automatic pistol in the commission of these crimes as well as numerous other allegations.

Mr. Colindres-Estrada is also charged with several additional felony counts including possession of a firearm by a felon (PC 29800(a)(1), carrying a loaded firearm (PC 25850(a)), and one count of possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle (PC 25400(a)(1)) one count of possession of ammunition by a prohibited person (PC 30305(a)), two counts of possession for sale of fentanyl (H&S 11351), one count of possession for sale of methamphetamine (H&S 11378), one count of possession for sale of cocaine base and one count of maintaining a place for selling or using controlled substances (H&S 11366).

Mr. Colindres-Erazo is also charged with one count of carrying a loaded firearm (PC 25850(a)) and one count of concealed firearm in a vehicle (PC 25400(a)(1)).

“My office will do everything in our power to hold dangerous drug dealers accountable,” said District Attorney Brooke Jenkins. “Drug dealers should expect to be identified, arrested and prosecuted in San Francisco. I would like to thank the San Francisco Police Department and all of the other law enforcement agencies working together night and day to address drug dealing. Since day one I have recognized the seriousness of these crimes and will not allow San Francisco to lose ground in the fight against drug dealers who profit off human misery and wreak havoc in our neighborhoods.”

According to court documents, on October 8, 2024, at 11:24 PM Mr. Colindres-Estrada and Mr. Colindres-Erazo allegedly drove to San Francisco from Oakland in Mr. Colindres-Estrada’s vehicle. They allegedly parked on 11th Street between Kissling Street and Howard Street. Allegedly they were each carrying a backpack. San Francisco Police Department K-9 Cooper alerted officers to the presence of narcotics in Mr. Colindres-Erazo’s backpack. Officers found cocaine base, heroin, methamphetamine, fentanyl, cash, and a digital scale in his backpack. Officers searched the vehicle and found a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol in the center console and another digital scale. Officers executed a search warrant at Mr. Colindres-Estrada’s residence in Oakland and seized methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine base, cocaine, a large amount of cash, firearm parts, numerous rounds of ammunition, and multiple disassembled firearms and rifles. Total weight of narcotics seized: 620.7 grams (more than one pound) of fentanyl, 347.4 grams of methamphetamine (more than half a pound), 69.9 grams of cocaine base, 94.1 grams of cocaine, 8.4 grams of heroin and $45,078 in cash. At the time of his arrest, Mr. Colindres-Estrada was on felony probation following a 2023 conviction.

The next court date for Mr. Colindres-Estrada is October 24, 2024, for the preliminary hearing in this matter. The District Attorney’s Office moved to have each detained pending trial because of the public safety risk they pose. The court granted the motion and set no bail. Mr. Colindres-Erazo and Mr. Colindres-Estrada are each currently in custody.
