San Francisco, CA – Today, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced that Maycie Carmen Stamps (25), has been charged in connection to numerous retail theft incidents at Lululemon at San Francisco Centre Mall during the month of September. Ms. Stamps is scheduled to be arraigned on October 4, 2024, at 1:30 PM In Department 10 at the Hall of Justice. She is charged with one count of felony organized retail grand theft with the intent to resell (PC 490.4(a)(1)), seven counts of felony second-degree commercial burglary (PC 459), and seven counts of felony grand theft (PC 487(a)).

“My office recognizes the serious impact of retail theft on our businesses and neighborhoods and will continue to do everything we can to ensure that brazen retail thieves are held accountable for their crimes,” said District Attorney Brooke Jenkins. “I would like to thank the San Francisco Police Department for their ongoing blitz operations and careful investigation in this case. We will continue to work with law enforcement and businesses to address these crimes and not go back to the days where these types of crimes were not taken seriously.”
According to court records, on October 1, 2024, Ms. Stamps is alleged to have entered the Lululemon located inside San Francisco Centre Mall and was observed stealing multiple items. On this date, the San Francisco Police Department was conducting a blitz operation at Lululemon. Lululemon Loss Prevention agents broadcast a description of Ms. Stamps after she passed all points of sale, failing to pay for any merchandise. She was later arrested by San Francisco Police, and the stolen merchandise valued at $1,831.42 was recovered. After an investigation, it was concluded that Ms. Stamps was a suspect in five other felony thefts from this same store and location, occurring between September 5th and October 1st, 2024. In one of the prior incidents, it is alleged that she was working with five other individuals and in two of the previous incidents one other person.

The District Attorney’s Office will ask the Court to set unaffordable bail for Ms. Stamps because less restrictive means are insufficient to protect the public. Ms. Stamps is currently in custody.
