San Francisco, CA – District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced today that Michael Watson (35), has been charged in connection to multiple incidents of indecent exposure in the Castro. Mr. Watson is scheduled to be arraigned on February 6, 2025, at 1:30 PM in Department 10 at the Hall of Justice. He is charged with three counts of indecent exposure with a prior conviction (PC 314(1)), three counts of annoying or molesting a child (PC 647.6(a)((1)), and two counts of stalking (PC 646.9(a)). The District Attorney’s Office is moving to have Mr. Watson detained without bail pending trial because of the public safety risk he poses.
“Keeping children and vulnerable community members safe is central to everything that we do in my office,” said District Attorney Brooke Jenkins. “My office takes crimes like this seriously and will do everything we can to ensure that there is accountability and that there are consequences. The alleged conduct in this case is appalling and completely unacceptable.”
According to court documents, the victims are two middle school students who often frequent a Boba store in the Castro with their friends after school. The girls have seen Mr. Watson on the same day each week repeatedly for the past year. Allegedly, Mr. Watson would stand naked in front of the shop and stare at them while the girls and their friends were inside and masturbate in the group’s presence, occasionally placing oil all over his body. On January 8 and January 15 of this year, Mr. Watson allegedly followed the girls to Dolores Park from the Boba shop. On January 22, 2025, Mr. Watson also allegedly watched the girls while he masturbated in the street. Mr. Watson was arrested by San Francisco Police on February 4, 2025, on the 900 block of Folsom Street and taken into custody without incident.
Although charges have been filed, this remains an active investigation. While multiple victims have been identified in this particular case, if you believe you have been a victim of the suspect’s crimes, please contact SFPD Special Victim’s Unit at 415-553-9225.
