ARMED MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING WITH A JUVENILE IN THE MISSION DISTRICT

San Francisco, CA – Today, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced that Santos Adan Ochoa-Carcamo (32) has been charged with multiple felonies in connection with narcotics trafficking in the Mission District with a juvenile. Mr. Ochoa-Carcamo was arraigned on March 12, 2025, and pleaded not guilty to all charges and denied all allegations. Mr. Ochoa-Carcamo is charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with a firearm (H&S 11370.1(a)), two counts of solicitation of a minor to use or sell a narcotic (H&S 11353(b)), two counts of possession for sale of controlled substances (H&S 11351), three counts of transportation, sale and giving away a controlled substance (H&S 11379(a)), and one count of transportation, sale and giving away a controlled substance (H&S 11352(a)). The criminal complaint also alleges that Mr. Ochoa-Carcamo possessed a substance containing more than one ounce of fentanyl (H&S 11370.4(c)(1)(A)) and that he was armed with a firearm (PC 12022(c)).

“I would like to thank the San Francisco Police Department and all of our allied law enforcement partners who are working diligently to identify, investigate and arrest narcotics traffickers,” said District Attorney Brooke Jenkins. “We will not back down from the fight to close open air drug markets and hold drug dealers accountable, especially those who would exploit juveniles, and do everything in our power to bring them to justice. Drug traffickers should know that we are in this for as long as it takes and will continue to adapt our strategies and take the fight to them.”

According to court documents, on January 21, 2025, an undercover San Francisco Police officer allegedly purchased a small quantity of methamphetamine from Mr. Ochoa-Carcamo near the El Capitan Hotel on the 2300 block of Mission Street and arranged to purchase more drugs at a later time. On February 5, 2025, undercover San Francisco Police allegedly purchased one ounce of methamphetamine from Mr. Ochoa-Carcamo and a juvenile. On March 3, 2025, Mr. Ochoa-Carcamo allegedly sold more drugs to an undercover officer. On March 6, 2025, Officers executed a search warrant at his residence and the juvenile’s residence and found a loaded handgun, a digital scale, packaging materials, 45.4 grams of fentanyl, 17.4 grams of cocaine and over $10,000 in US currency.

The next court date for Mr. Ochoa-Carcamo is April 16, 2025, for a prehearing conference. The District Attorney’s Office moved to have him detained pending trial because of the public safety risk he poses. Mr. Ochoa-Carcamo was released on bail and the court will rule on the motion to detain at his next scheduled court date.
