San Francisco, CA – District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced today that Calvin Tran (36) has been charged with multiple felony counts in connection to the sexual assault of a minor for incidents alleged to have occurred between 2015 and 2018. Mr. Tran’s first court appearance was today, and arraignment is scheduled for December 3, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in Department 19 at the Hall of Justice. The District Attorney’s Office moved to have him detained without bail pending trial because of the public safety risk he poses. No bail was set and he remains in custody.
Mr. Tran is charged with committing lewd acts upon a child, continuous sexual abuse, oral copulation of a person under 14, aggravated sexual assault of a child, forcible oral copulation of a minor 14 or older, and four counts of meeting a minor for lewd purposes. The criminal complaint also includes allegations that Mr. Tran had substantial sexual conduct with the child victim.
According to court records, the victim reported that he was the victim of numerous sexual assaults in multiple locations, including Francisco Middle School, between 2015 and 2018 when he was a student there. San Francisco Police arrested Mr. Tran without incident on November 13, 2025.
