San Francisco, CA – Today, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced that Derral Robi (49) was charged with murder in connection to a fatal shooting in SOMA. Mr. Robi is scheduled to be arraigned on December 8, 2025, at 9:0 a.m. in Department 19 at the Hall of Justice. The District Attorney’s Office will move to have him detained pending trial without bail due to the public safety risk he poses.
Mr. Robi is charged with one count of murder, with an allegation that he personally and intentionally used a firearm in the commission of the murder. He is also charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of an assault weapon, possession of a firearm with a prior felony conviction, and possession of ammunition.
According to court documents, on November 30, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m., SFPD officers were driving southbound on 6th and Natoma when they observed a male victim face down in the middle of the roadway. Despite life saving measures, the victim was pronounced dead on scene.
SFPD recovered video footage of the incident which allegedly shows Mr. Robi bringing out a firearm, forcing the victim, who had been following him, to run away. Later in the surveillance video Mr. Robi is allegedly seen following the victim who trips and falls to the ground. Shortly after the victim gets up, Mr. Robi allegedly brings out a firearm and fires multiple rounds at the victim.
