San Francisco, CA – Today, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced that Derreyl Chase Goode (40) was charged with murder in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred on April 27th, 2008. Mr. Goode is scheduled to be arraigned on August 27th, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Hall of Justice.
Mr. Goode is charged with murder (PC 187(a)) with an allegation that he used a firearm in the commission of the murder (PC 12022.53(d)).
The District Attorney’s Office will move to have Mr. Goode detained pending trial without bail due to the public safety risk he poses.
According to court documents, on April 27th, 2008, San Francisco Police responded to 520 Fulton Street regarding a shooting and located a victim laying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound to the face. Witnesses told the police that allegedly, Mr. Goode was seen standing over the victim as the victim’s body hit the ground. The shooter fled the scene. After a substantial investigation by SFPD, Mr. Goode was arrested.
