San Francisco, CA – Today, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced that her office secured a conviction of Michael Mangrum (42) after a trial by jury convicted of violating a criminal protective order (PC 166(c)(1)).
“I would like to thank the jury for their service in this trial,” said District Attorney Brooke Jenkins. “The jury’s verdict holds Mr. Mangrum accountable. Violations of criminal protection orders must be taken seriously, as those who are willing to violate them pose serious risk to victims.
According to the testimony and other evidence presented at trial, Mr. Mangrum violated a restraining order prohibiting him from any contact with the victim.
“I thank the jury for their thoughtful and thorough evaluation of the evidence,” said Assistant District Attorney Albert J. Ujcic III. “Violation of a court-ordered restraining order is a crime, and if you violate the law, you will be held accountable.”
The case against Mr. Mangrum was successfully prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Albert J. Ujcic III, with invaluable assistance from paralegal Aareona Miles, DA Investigator Jesus Mendoza, and Victim Advocate Jodee Brown. Their preparation and attention to detail combined with the efforts of the San Francisco Police Department lead to the successful prosecution of the case.
Mr. Mangrum is currently out of custody. Sentencing is scheduled for September 21, 2026.
