Reforms to our juvenile justice system, including abolishment of death penalty, life-without-parole sentences in most cases and even the use of secure confinement for juveniles, have been informed by this research. Neuroscience research can also provide us with valuable information that can inform how we provide services to young adults and transitional age youth.
