San Francisco, CA –Today, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced that Bryon Livingston (33) was charged with felony driving under the influence in connection to a multiple vehicle crash that resulted in injury on the Bay Bridge. Mr. Livingston was arraigned on December 18, 2025, and pleaded not guilty to all charges and denied the allegations. Mr. Livingston is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury with a blood alcohol level of .08%, or above, and driving with a suspended license. The criminal complaint contains an allegation of driving with a blood alcohol content of .15% or higher at the time of the incident.
The District Attorney’s Office moved to have Mr. Livingston detained pending trial without bail due to the public safety risk he poses. The court released Mr. Livingston over prosecutors’ objections and ordered that he be fitted with an electronic monitoring device. He is also ordered to not consume any alcohol, or drugs without a prescription. Mr. Livingston is also ordered not to drive without a valid California Driver’s License and legal insurance. Mr. Livingston’s next court date is January 13, 2026, for a prehearing conference.
According to court documents, on December 14, 2025, at approximately 2:07 a.m., Mr. Livingston was allegedly driving westbound on the Bay Bridge in a lane where there was a disabled vehicle stopped its hazard lights on. Bay Bridge video allegedly shows Mr. Livingston accelerate in the direction of the disabled vehicle and then abruptly try to squeeze past to the left of the disabled vehicle and past a third vehicle that was travelling ahead of him. Allegedly, Mr. Livingston’s vehicle struck the rear of the disabled vehicle and also struck the third vehicle. The driver of the disabled vehicle was injured in the crash as was the driver of the third vehicle and a passenger riding within the third vehicle.
Although charges have been filed, and this case is being handled by the San Francisco District Attorney’s Felony DUI Vertical Prosecution Unit, this remains an active investigation.
