MAN WITH SEMI AUTOMATIC GHOST GUN CHARGED IN CONNECTION TO NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING IN SOMA

San Francisco, CA – Today, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced that Jexcer Martinez-Torres (27) has been charged with multiple felonies in connection with narcotics trafficking on Sixth Street. Mr. Martinez-Torres was arraigned on April 29, 2025, and pleaded not guilty to all charges and denied all allegations. Mr. Martinez-Torres is charged with one count of possession for sale of a controlled substance (H&S 11351), one count of transportation, sale and giving away of a controlled substance (H&S 11352), one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with a firearm (H&S 11370.1(a)), one count of carrying a loaded firearm that he was not the registered owner of (PC 29850(a)) and one count of carrying a concealed firearm (PC 25400(a)(2)). The criminal complaint also alleges that Mr. Martinez-Torres possessed a substance containing more than 28.35 grams of fentanyl (H&S 11370.4(c)(1)(A)), that he was armed with a firearm (PC 12022(c)), and that he was released on his own recognizance at the time of the charged offense on two separate pending felony criminal cases (PC 12022.1(b)).

According to court documents, on April 24, 2025, at 11:20 PM Mr. Martinez-Torres allegedly sold 1.6 grams of fentanyl for $20 to an undercover San Francisco Police officer at the corner of Sixth Street and Stevenson Street. Officers arrested Mr. Martinez-Torres and found in his possession a loaded 9mm ghost gun semi-automatic pistol and 68.3 grams of fentanyl. At the time of his arrest, Mr. Martinez-Torres had two pending felony narcotics sales cases.

The District Attorney’s Office moved to have Mr. Martinez-Torres detained pending trial because of the public safety risk he poses. The court set bail in the amount of $100,000 and he remains in custody. His next court date is May 12, 2025, for the preliminary hearing in this matter.
