TWO MEN CHARGED IN CONNECTION TO 2023 BAYVIEW DISTRICT DRIVE-BY MURDER

San Francisco, CA – Today, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced that Teangelo Harrison (22) and Tommy Thompson (28) were charged with murder in connection to a drive-by shooting in the Bayview District in 2023. Mr. Harrison and Mr. Thompson are scheduled to be arraigned on September 2, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in Department 19 at the Hall of Justice. The District Attorney’s Office will move to have them detained pending trial due to the public safety risk they pose.

Mr. Harrison and Mr. Thompson are both charged with one count of murder (PC 187 (a)), one count of discharge of firearm at an inhabited dwelling/occupied building/inhabited camper (PC 246), one count of permitting another to shoot from a vehicle (PC 26100 (b)), one count of discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle (PC 26100 (c)). The criminal complaint also includes multiple allegations including drive-by murder (PC 190.2(a)(21)), that Mr. Thompson was armed with a firearm (PC 12022(a)(1)), and that Mr. Harrison personally and intentionally discharged a firearm (PC 12022.53(d)). Mr. Harrison is also charged with one count of carrying loaded firearm – not registered owner (PC 25850 (a)).

According to court documents, on August 11, 2023, Mr. Harrison and Mr. Thompson allegedly observed the victim on a dirt bike and pursued the victim, armed with a gun and two magazines. They allegedly caught up with the victim on the 1900 block of Keith Street where Mr. Harrison allegedly leaned out of the front window and shot at the victim repeatedly hitting him and causing him to crash. Mr. Harrison and Mr. Thompson then allegedly fled the scene. The victim initially survived the shooting and underwent multiple surgeries before succumbing to his injuries on October 8, 2023. Surveillance footage captured the alleged shooting as well as Mr. Harrison and Mr. Thompson allegedly dropping off the vehicle, which was later recovered by the San Francisco Police.

Although charges have been filed, and this case is being handled by the San Francisco District Attorney’s Homicide Unit, this remains an active investigation.
